A mini-bio in GIFs and JPEGs

My first love in life is my family. This is Carol--God's 2nd best gift to me.

This is Benny, my oldest, with a moose. Ben says, "Save somebody else for it."

Rebecca is Benny's big little sister. She is now Dr. Weinberg.

Next to my family, my love is dogs--
more specifically, poodles!
This is Isaac. He makes us laugh again.

There's also Bizet (white dog) and Kookaburra the cat [RIP].

as well as dear departed Marmalade--hiding on top of the fridge.

There are dogs...and then there are poodles.

Just like there are rock bands...
and then there's the Beatles!

After my family & pets, my big love in life is music. I've been tickling the ivories since I was 5.

As a teenager, I fell in love with the pipe organ, a machine with several keyboards
and hundreds of keys, buttons, pistons, knobs and tablets played with all the limbs!

Celtic music is my favorite non-classical style: Irish & Scottish music as exemplified by The Chieftains.

After the fam, pets & music, I love to garden and landscape with my wife at our house in Brentwood. 150 years ago, my backyard was part of a huge plantation. We call the soil "chocolate pudding."

To pay the bills, my main job is working for the American Chemical Society in an editorial office. Nashville's office is located at Vanderbilt.

Vandy Biochemistry Dept. is where I work 7-4.

But I'm not really a chemist--I'm an organist!

I've also been a church choir director. Here's a picture of me with the choir. (click to enlarge)

I spend a crazy amount of time working on this site!

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a herpetologist. I had an alligator, chameleons, turtles & snakes as pets! (click to enlarge)

But that didn't happen, because...

...like this site, life is a work in progress.
